The complete diagnostic list that can be run at scan.cbos.ca is included here. Registration is required and is free for the “basic” items. There is a fee for the “premium” items and the email domain must match the scanned domain for the security related items. i.e. you can only scan your OWN site for security loopholes. Sorry, folks. Hire a developer for $45 for up to 50 minutes to have the scan below run on your own site and discussed.

Basic

  1. Checks for an analytics script
  2. Checks if site is running WordPress
  3. Checks if a blog or news page is present
  4. Checks if caching is present
  5. Checks if page is optimized
  6. Checks if page passes page speed benchmark (currently set at 2.5 seconds
  7. Checks if there is an address on the selected page.
  8. Checks if there is a contact form on the site
  9. Checks if there is an interactive map on the selected page
  10. Checks if an email is on the selected page
  11. Checks if a phone number is on the selected page
  12. Checks if comments are enabled on the selected page
  13. Checks if a video is on the selected page
  14. Checks if social media links are found on the selected page
  15. Checks for a search bar
  16. Checks for a copyright symbol (©)
  17. Checks for a privacy link
  18. Checks for a terms link

Premium

  1. Checks if WordPress is running in a subdirectory (technical)
  2. Checks if a CDN is being used (page speed and optimization)
  3. Checks if charset is set to utf-8 (technical)
  4. Checks if jQuery is present (informational only)
  5. Checks if WP CRON is being used (optimization and page speed)
  6. Checks if the emoji script is detected (optimization and security or privacy related)
  7. Counts the number of .css and .js scripts present and if they pass the benchmark set (currently set to 10 or less)
  8. Counts the number of .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .gif image files present and if they pass the benchmark set (currently set to 10 or less)
  9. Counts the number of font calls made and if they pass the benchmark set (currently set to 3 or less)

Security Related

  1. Checks if site is running https (recommended)
  2. Checks if readme.html is present
  3. Checks if “indexes” are open (technical item)
  4. Checks if pingback is available (informational only)
  5. Checks if xmlrpc.php is present and/or active (security related)
  6. Checks if cache is secured
